This question if for anyone that has a laser printer?
I was considering buying a laser printer and I want to know how long the ink toner lasts. I heard it can last for a very long time compared to ink cartriges. I go through ink on my printer every three months. If I get a color laser printer, how long would the black and color ink last. I mostly use black, I don’t use color to much unless im creating a creating card or something that color is needed like printing a photo. Someone I used to work at my job said he puts toner in every two years. How long does your toner last? Is a color laser printer printer made to print photoes with special photo paper? I was considering just getting a printer that only prints back right now and keeping my old printer to printer color if I really need to becouse their color laser is to expensive right now and I don’t use color that much. Do you think I would save money in the long run.
Most of the time you will be printin black/white documents unless your intention is to print a whole photo album you may take a lot of benefit from the laser.
Now, here are some questions you need to answer in order to decide what kind of pirnter you want.
how many pages you print by day?
of those pages, how many are color and how many are only black?
how much you have spend on the last 6 months in prinitn consumables?
laser toner are more expensive than the cartdriges, but last longer… on the long term, may be less expensive having a laser for most of your pirnting and keep the color for special ocassions.
I have 1 ink jet color printer and 1 laser…and both are connected to my local home network…if I need to print a picture or some documents with color .. I send it to the colo rpirnter, if not to the laser…it have work for me…..good luck on your decision.
