Replacing my motherboard?
I’m replacing my motherboard, but I can’t find one that has the ports and plugs in exactly the same location. Is this even necessary? I don’t want to have any empty holes in the back of my computer after I put the new board in.
The holes don’t matter much, you can always tape a bit of card over them. More important, are fixing hole positions and proper standoffs for the motherboard. Then the power supply should also be compatible and there should be room to install the CPU/heatsink/fan.
